Star Wars Weekends - Celebrity Appearance List Released

Walt Disney World resort released its lineup of celebrities scheduled to appear at the 2014 Star Wars Weekends. The event, held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, features appearances from actors appearing in the “Star Wars” films, both trilogies, as well as voice actors working with the popular “Star Wars” animated television series. This is a very popular annual event, and it appears to have grown in size since Disney acquired the franchise.

The 2014 SWW celebrity schedule includes some well-known names from the Star Wars universe.  Actors from the original “Star Wars” trilogy include Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian.) From the Episode I – III films: Ray Park (Darth Maul), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) and Ahmed Best (Jar Jar Binks) will be in attendance. Warwick Davis, who appeared in both trilogies as different characters –Wicket W. Warrick in Episode VI, Wald in Episode I – will also attend.

The popular “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” will be represented by appearances from Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kane, Matt Lanter and Cat Taber. Fans eagerly awaiting the debut of the upcoming “Star Wars Rebels” will be pleased to note several voice actors from the Disney XD animated series are slated to appear.

Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano in “The Clone Wars” and the force behind Her Universe (a merchandise line aimed at female sci-fi fans) also returns to SWW. She will host the 2014 “Behind The Force” shows held each weekend, which will showcase some of the main cast members from the upcoming Disney XD animated series.

The final Star Wars Weekend, Weekend V, is sure to garner a great deal of attention from “Star Wars” fans. Not only does it mark the first year of expansion for the event, but Weekend V will boast the largest number of “Star Wars” celebrities to appear at one time in the Disney event’s history.
